Recently we came on an article in the Endless Vacation Magazine made by Christine Ajudua. It’s an honor to be a part of it  even more when the title is “The Magic of Madeira”.

“In the Realm of the Senses

First! Think about your Job, Stress, Emails, rainy and cold weather and what ever you do at home.

And then…., can you remember your last trip to Madeira, when the airplane arrives Funchal Airport, through the doors reaches you warm and tropical air, 27 degrees, the darkblue ocean is in front of you, the sun burns down. Can you remember this time??? Can you feel now this Paradies?

We can, our last trip was in September this year, one of now over 10 stays at this wonderful island. This year we had the wish to spend more time at the water, first time on a board, on a SuP Board. Hey and everybody of our friends says us before: “You are to old, you are freaky, you are crazy, in your age is SuP not the sport which you should prefere”.

But my wife and I has our own idea for that. Claudia, the owner of Lobosonda gave us the contact of Belmiro from Salty.

2 days later: What a day! We met a couple with a lot of inspired ideas, we spent an amazing time on the boards. Remember: you are on the board, sunny weather, small waves outside and two teachers with a burning fire in their eyes.

Belmiro and Sara have such a lot of passion in their job, so we think this was the best idea which we had in our holidays.

Go out surfing, go out with the SuP Board, dive with the fishes or go out with a Bodyboard, but do it with Salty, do it with Belmiro Mendes and Sara Abreu.

Have fun after the tour and drink Poncha, Fishermen Poncha, not the Tourist Poncha with Honey! It must be the pure one!

And I’m sure, when we back next year, we will spend once more a lot of time with Salty.

Surfing Holidays in Madeira Island – Aline & Milena

Aline and Milena , came for the first time to madeira Island with there family for vacations and it turn into a Surfing Holidays in Madeira Island.

We had the pleasure of meeting the whole family during the days that we had together in Porto da Cruz. This two girls were charging it, wave after wave like there was no tomorow.

They definitely had fun with Salty – Madeira Water Activities.

“So far we’ve had an amazing time on Madeira island. Beautiful weather, good food, nice people, great whale watching tour.. only the really fun experience was missing. Good thing we heard about Salty. We didn’t need much time to think about it.. it was time to get Salty!
Early in the morning we got up, the sun only starting to rise and we were already on the road to Porto Cruz, where good waves were to be expected. We got there and after a quick coffee went to check out the beach. Nice little beach and already some people hoping into the waves. Shortly after, Belmiro arrived and welcomed us warmly. He checked the waves and decided to take us to another spot with better waves. He sure knows his business. Only a short drive away is Machico, where a large beach with nice waves was waiting for us.
